Trolley jack - a compact solution for car services

You probably know this already, but it’s worth repeating. A trolley jack is meant for quick, temporary repairs. It’s not made for major overhauls - but when you need to free up a lift for just a moment, it can come in handy.

Despite its compact design, a jack like this can handle a lot. Here’s the lifting height for selected REDATS models:

  • 300 mm - 2-ton trolley jack
  • 495 mm - 3T trolley jack
  • 505 mm - 2.5-ton trolley jack

As you can see, that’s enough to carry out quick jobs - like tire or brake work. For minor work in those areas, a trolley jack can be a practical support.

Trolley jack types - from basic to professional

Choose the right jack based on customer needs. The range includes both simple models for occasional use, e.g. in a home garage, and heavy-duty hydraulic jacks designed for regular use in a car service. There are also low-profile jacks and a range of accessories that improve usability.

You’ll also find adapters that make it easier to work with taller vehicles such as SUVs. If a regular jack won’t lift a given car, this kind of adapter gives those extra centimeters to get the job done.

This category also includes jack sets, for example with axle stands that provide additional support for the lifted vehicle. That’s important - remember, the hydraulic system inside the jack is only meant for lifting. Proper support during servicing requires additional stabilisation.

Why offer trolley jacks for everyday use in a car service?

All hydraulic trolley jacks in our offer are made of thick steel, providing durability for long-term use - even in demanding workshop conditions.

Of course, a 2-ton jack isn’t for engine rebuilds. But let’s be practical - it’s an affordable solution for quickly lifting a vehicle when needed. For fast, small jobs, a trolley jack is often the most efficient tool. For example, a car comes in with a flat tire, but all work bays are occupied.

A hydraulic trolley jack is the ideal solution when extra capacity is occasionally needed in the service area. While it’s not suitable for major repairs, it works well for basic operations. It’s important to note: this tool is designed for lifting - not for holding the vehicle up.

All jacks in this category are fitted with large swivel casters. That makes them easy to move around - you can reposition the jack quickly wherever it’s needed.
