( number of products: 4 )Mounting steel clip-on weights on rims
It’s often said that steel clip-on weights are harder to mount than lead ones. And it’s true — they may require a bit more skill than weights made of lead.
But the issue isn’t a product flaw.
The difference in the weight’s construction comes from the material used. Lead is much more pliable than steel, which means it doesn’t spring back when mounted onto the rim.
Do your customers struggle with installing steel weights on rims?
Recommend a teflon insert for pliers.
They can simply mount the insert onto 1weight pliers — the teflon helps reduce the steel’s springiness, making it easier to fix the weight securely to the rim.
